“We need you to be able to do what Edison did: have an idea, create a product, and share it with the world.” says UK Science Minister Sam Gyimah during the London Clean Energy Innovation Summit on the 16th of October. To illustrate his challenge to the audience of innovators, the minister cites YASA’s development from Oxford University spin out to volume automotive manufacturer: “Take the example of YASA Motors. This year they opened a new production factory in Oxfordshire, which is supporting 150 high-skilled jobs and aiming to produce 100,000 units…”
