As Chief Executive Officer at YASA, he is leading the growth of the automotive customer portfolio and product range, exploring new business opportunities by driving the development of next-generation axial-flux electric motor technology, overseeing YASA's role in shaping the future of electrification.

Tim Woolmer, driven by a desire to disrupt and innovate the automotive industry began work on axial flux electric motor technology back in 2005 whilst at the University of Oxford. In 2009, he founded YASA with the mission to “Accelerate Electrification.” Under Tim’s leadership as Founder and CTO, YASA has become a prominent force in the industry, with the fully owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz poised for an even greater impact on the electric transition.

Sascha Riegel brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience within the Mercedes-Benz Group.

Sascha began his career with the Group in 2000, going on to hold a series of senior roles in product, project, and profit controlling at Mercedes-Benz Cars, with a particular focus on profitability analysis, business case management, strategic financial planning, and cross-site optimisation across the global production network.

From 2021 to 2025, he served as CFO of Mercedes-Benz Tech Motion GmbH, where his responsibilities spanned controlling, accounting, procurement, IT, legal & compliance, and facility management. During this time, he led major transformation and merger projects that delivered significant improvements in cost efficiency and business performance.

Most recently, Sascha was Head of Controlling Material Costs – Commercial Issues at Mercedes-Benz AG, overseeing financial governance of material costs, business planning, and commercial risk management within procurement.

At YASA, Sascha brings deep CFO and transformation expertise to support the company's continued growth as a leading axial flux motor manufacturer.

With over two decades of experience spanning automotive, aerospace, and defence, Andy brings a rare blend of technical grounding and commercial acumen to YASA's leadership team. His career began at BAE Systems, working on electronic and electrical systems, before moving into the automotive sector, where he built deep expertise in powertrain technologies. Andy first joined YASA in 2013, gaining an early, formative understanding of axial flux motor technology, before returning to the business as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he now leads YASA's commercial strategy, business development, and purchasing functions, drawing on his track record of building high-performing teams and forging lasting partnerships with some of the world's most demanding automotive and motorsport manufacturers.

Kat is the General Counsel, Company Secretary and oversees Data Protection at YASA. A qualified solicitor, Kat started her legal career in 2006 at Magic Circle law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in the City where she spent the majority of her career as a Commercial and Intellectual Property Law specialist.

Kat holds a Law LLB (First Class) from King’s College London and a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. Kat has experience working with a variety of companies including in-house and across a diverse range of sectors such as technology, automotive, aerospace, consumer, retail and media.

Nicola Nevill is an accomplished HR executive and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development with a strong track record in high-performance engineering and technology environments. As People Director at YASA, she plays a central role in advancing the company’s people strategy during a pivotal phase of growth.

Prior to joining YASA, Nicola spent over two decades at Williams Racing, where she held senior leadership roles including HR Director and Director of Business Growth & People for its engineering venture, Williams Grand Prix Technologies. Nicola is currently studying for an MSc in Coaching for Behavioural Change at Henley Business School and recently qualified as an Executive Coach, having obtained the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley.

Frank Deiss, a seasoned automotive executive, currently serves as a Board Member at YASA and Chairman of the Product Group Powertrain at Mercedes-Benz AG. With over thirty years of experience primarily at Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG, Frank has held pivotal roles including Head of Procurement at Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans. His extensive tenure underscores his expertise in procurement strategies and operational performance within the automotive industry. Frank is now solidifying his influence in shaping the future of automotive propulsion systems through his role at YASA.

Craig Wilson, a leader in advanced engineering and technology for more than 30 years, serves as a Board Member at YASA. With over a decade of experience as the chief executive officer at Williams Advanced Engineering, Craig has successfully guided a team of engineers and innovators, leveraging expertise derived from Formula One across diverse sectors. At YASA, Craig plays a pivotal role in strategic oversight, utilising his extensive industry knowledge to support the company's ambitions in electrification

Marina Hüttinger, a leader in automotive finance and corporate strategy, serves as a Board Member at YASA. In this role, Marina will play a pivotal role in continuing to scale the YASA business as it prepares for the next generation of axial flux technology and future customer programmes..
With almost two decades of experience, Marina brings extensive experience in finance, strategy and corporate development, having held a range of leadership roles across Mercedes-Benz.
Alongside her role at YASA, Marina is also the Chief Financial Officer of Mercedes-AMG GmbH and Head of Finance & Controlling for the Top-End Vehicle (TEV) Group. In this role, she contributes to the strategic and financial steering of the high-performance segment.
